The importance of polls

The poll is a type of survey designed to measure the audience's views regarding a topic or series of topics. Polls are simple a measurement tool that tells us how an audience thinks and feels.

The Polls Service is a specialised Virsas tool that allows you to create single choice polling questions for your meetings. It is the tool to help you to understand your audience, their insights, feedbacks and interests at any event.

Why should you use polls

• Collect real-time insights

• Let your audience to make a decision

• Get instant feedback

Event management

There are two ways to create an event. One is from the main page of the Poll tool. The second one is from the event management page located at the top right corner. You can create as many events as you wish with any number of members. This way, you can interact with your audience at any conference or company meeting.

Access of event members

Members of an event can access, manage and read the questions. Only an administrator can add or remove event members. The read and write access is based on the role assigned to each user and can be found in the user list. However, there is one more option. You can make the event global, and all users of your account will have access to this event, even if users are not in the list of members.

Questions and option list

Poll administrator or poll editor can create any number of questions. Each question can contain any number of options. After the question is approved, the audience can access the event and vote on all available items.

Votes and thoughts

Each member of the audience can submit a single vote for every question in the event. If you enabled the thoughts sharing, the audience could also add any number of thoughts. This way, the poll can be more interactive with additional opinions on a given topic.

Public access

You can share your event with your public audience. In this case, the audience does not need to be a registered user at Virsas. All you need to do is to share the URL, and anyone can share their feedback.
